National Workforce Support in Child Mental Health Initiative Grant Opportunity
The National Support for Child and Youth Mental Health Program (the Program) aims to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people, commencing with the early years and going through to adolescence. It currently comprises the National Workforce Support in Child Mental Health Initiative (National Workforce Support Initiative) and the Mental Health in Education Initiative.
The objectives of the Program are to:
* build resilience skills and protective factors in children and young people to help promote a mentally healthy life;
* build and promote the evidence base around mental health promotion, illness prevention and early intervention strategies for children and young people;
* improve access to and effectiveness of early intervention services for children and young people at risk of, or experiencing, mental health difficulties; and
* provide suicide postvention services to support students in secondary schools to minimise the distress caused to students and reduce the risk of suicide clusters in the peer group.
As this is a Closed Non-Competitive grant opportunity as per section 3 of the grant opportunity guidelines, only The Australian Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Association Limited, trading as Emerging Minds, (ABN: 87 093 479 022) is invited to apply for this grant opportunity

The eligible organisation's submission of an Activity Work Plan, Indicative Budget and a Risk Management Plan will be considered as an application for this grant opportunity. Suitability to receive grant funding will be assessed as per Section 5 of the grant opportunity guidelines.
