The Indigenous Australians’ Health Programme (IAHP) aims to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with access to effective high-quality, comprehensive, culturally-appropriate, primary health care services in urban, regional, rural and remote locations across Australia. This includes through Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) (wherever possible and appropriate) as well as mainstream services.
Application is by invitation only as this is a direct, non-competitive grant opportunity.
The Australian Government has invited eligible applicants to apply for grants under the Indigenous Australians’ Health Programme - Primary Health Care Activity. This includes funding for the New Direction Mothers and Babies Service (NDMBS) expansion for 2018-2019.
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide organisations currently delivering primary health care services under the IAHP with an opportunity to renew primary health care funding due to expire on 30 June 2019. Funding will be available to ensure the continuity of essential primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia. Funding is available from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.
To be eligible to apply you must be an organisation listed at Appendix A of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines and have received an invitation to apply from the Department.
