GO2875 - Paediatric Palliative Care – National Action Plan
This grant opportunity was announced as part of the Supporting Children with Life Threatening Medical Conditions and their Families 2019 election commitment. This project will improve access to high quality palliative care and end of life care for children and their families.
The objectives of the grant opportunity are to:
* Improve support and information resources for parents and children with a life limiting condition, workforce in hospitals, high care and palliative care providers;
* Co-ordinate a national approach to providing practical assistance to children with high medical needs and life limiting conditions; and
* Increase knowledge of where the gaps are in adequate paediatric palliative care services and where services are needed.
The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are:
* Improved support and information resources for parents and children with a life limiting condition, workforce in hospitals, high care and palliative care providers;
* Improved practical assistance to children with high medical needs and life limiting conditions by coordinating a national approach; and
* Increased knowledge of where the gaps are in adequate paediatric palliative care services and where services are needed.
