Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program Guidelines
The objective of the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program is to contribute to the development of a highly skilled and relevant Australian workforce that supports economic sustainability and competitiveness.
The Program contains a range of employer incentives and personal benefit payments to Australian Apprentices.
The Program links into the industries and occupations traditionally associated with the apprenticeship system.
In addition, the Program targets a broad range of traineeships and apprenticeships in new and emerging industries especially where future skills shortages are projected.
Eligibility for payments under the Program is assessed by Apprenticeship Network Providers in accordance with the eligibility criteria outlined for each type of payment in the Program Guidelines.
Please contact your local Apprenticeship Network Provider for further information about the Program, including eligibility requirements and processes for claiming incentives.
You can find your local Apprenticeship Network Provider on the Australian Apprenticeships website at www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au or by phoning the Skilling Australia information line on 13 38 73.
The amended guidelines, available from 19 May 2020, support implementation of the Supporting Apprentices and Trainees and Supporting Apprentices and Trainees through Group Training Organisations measure announced as part of the Government’s Economic Response to the Coronavirus.
