Description:

The Australian Manufacturing Fund for Personal Protective Equipment grant opportunity provides funds to eligible small and medium sized businesses, with up to 199 employees, to invest in efficient and transformative manufacturing processes and re-train staff and/or create new jobs to produce personal protective equipment.

The grant amount will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project expenditure.

There is no maximum grant amount for this grant opportunity, however we expect that grants will not be more than $500,000.

The maximum project period is 6 months. We may extend this period under exceptional circumstances.

Eligibility:

To be eligible you must:

  • be invited to apply
  • be an entity incorporated in Australia and a trading corporation, where your trading activities
    • form a sufficiently significant proportion of the corporation’s overall activities as to merit it being described as a trading corporation; or
    • are a substantial and not merely peripheral activity of the corporation.

We can only accept applications:

  • from manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with up to 199 employees (headcount)
  • where you can provide evidence from your board (or chief executive officer or equivalent if there is no board) that the project is supported, and that you can complete the project and meet the costs of the project not covered by grant funding.

You are not eligible to apply if you are:

  • not invited to apply
  • an individual
  • a partnership
  • a trust (however, an incorporated trustee may apply on behalf of a trust)
  • a Commonwealth, State, Territory or local government body (including government business enterprises).
