The purpose of this Grant Opportunity is to provide funding to support activities that will improve quality health and medical services for pregnant women and lead to better health outcomes for women and their babies by:
• providing accurate advice and information to pregnant women about stillbirth prevention, including how and when to access health services that may help prevent stillbirth;
• providing accurate advice and information about stillbirth to increase awareness of stillbirth amongst the Australian public;
• using current and emerging interactive communication technology to provide health related information to prevent stillbirth; and
• providing targeted strategies to reduce stillbirth in high risk groups (eg. regional and remote communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culturally and linguistically diverse communities).
Applications from consortiums are strongly encouraged. It is also important to note that groups representing bereaved parents who have experienced stillbirth should be consulted in the development and delivery of all activities for this grant.
As this is a Targeted Competitive Grant Opportunity, as per Section 4.1 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines only the listed organisations listed are invited to apply.
The eligible organisation’s submission of an Activity Work Plan and Indicative Budget will be considered as part of an application for this Grant Opportunity. Suitability to receive this grant funding will be assessed as per Section 6 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
