The project will protect local wildlife by installing hook disposal bins, educating the public on the dangers of fish hooks in the environment and the purchase of veterinary surgical equipment to improve treatment of affected wildlife. This will reduce harm and improve survival rates for wildlife that have ingested fishing hooks within the area.
