Purpose:
Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness worldwide. Deep learning algorithms and large-scale glaucoma patient databases enable new opportunities for glaucoma research. In this project, deep learning methods will be used to spearhead new understanding of underlying disease processes in this condition and translate the research outcomes into clinical applications to improve the early detection, diagnosis and monitoring for glaucoma patients.
