Purpose:
Greater Launceston Transformation – Creating Our Digital Future is a collaborative project of regional, state and national significance that uses open data platforms and innovative smart technology to create a rich digital ecosystem across the region. The project will: proactively address the regions transport management issues by creating a live streaming multi modal traffic system that manages congestion and supports the use of alternative modes of transport; inspire our next generation of technology and start up entrepreneurs by creating world class education programs in IoT and virtual reality; and digitise our internationally significant cultural assets in an open platform for the entire world to view and explore.
