Purpose:
SBS is introducing audio description services. Audio description is the auditory narration of the non–verbal elements of a program. It is particularly beneficial to people who are blind and vision–impaired. Audio description services will be provided on linear (broadcast) television, with 728 hours of audio described programming in 2020–21 and 936 hours in 2021–22.
