Grant Activity:
Landmark population trials in suicide prevention
Purpose:
Suicide is the most common cause of death in Australians aged 15-44 years of age. In any year, nearly 3,000 Australians needlessly die this way. Currently, we do not know which approaches to prevention are effective. Using technology platforms where appropriate, this Fellowship will undertake large studies to evaluate the acceptability, feasibility and effectiveness of potentially powerful interventions in schools, workplaces, and clinics with the aim of driving down suicide rates.
