Purpose:
The project will identify key local and regional networks that are capable of accommodating heavy vehicles. It will: increase network access through improving the understanding of local government infrastructure capability by assisting road managers in undertaking infrastructure assessments; assist local government road managers with development of a practical and standardised framework for road assessment based on a risk based framework; assist local governments in understanding the options to improve infrastructure to a standard capable of accepting heavy vehicles; and develop a technology platform that promotes the sharing of a single source of information for infrastructure capability and management.
