Purpose:
Flinders University of South Australia will run an enrichment program for Year 9 female students and teachers to encourage interest in Physics and Engineering. The program will provide information across a range of industries and highlight future career opportunities. Activities will comprise monthly skills enrichment workshops that combine industry visits, and interactive mentorship with STEM role models and industry representatives. An end of project conference (3 days) for all workshop participants will be held with STEM activities such as interactive labs in robotics, engineering and physics. An industry immersion for the girls and a teachers program will also be included.
