Purpose:
Mugenuni Research Pty Ltd has developed an innovative process to farm sea urchin in an economic and sustainable manner, on land and without any wild catch inputs. This sea urchin aquaculture will eliminate the need for wild catch which has devastated global urchin stocks and provide all year round availability of high quality sea urchin roe to the global markets. Accelerating Commercialisation support will be used to help Mugenuni Research to commercialise this novel aquaculture process and achieve a new sustainable export industry for Australia as well as help to preserve the world's urchin fisheries.
