Purpose:
The Griffith Regional Sports Precinct (Stage 1) - Westend Oval/Regional Aquatic Centre Development creates state of the art sporting facilities across several high profile sports. It establishes a regional sports hub at Westend Oval and enhances regionally significant sports facilities at Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre (GRALC).
This project increases the number and type of regional sporting facilities, improves the standard of existing regional sporting facilities and increases participation and performance in sport at all levels in the Western Riverina of regional NSW. Activation of Westend Oval particularly, delivers new facilities for basketball, netball, hockey, badminton and athletics, creating a truly regional sports hub.
