Purpose:
Sustainability in the suburbs will engage the general public in the science of sustainability through a series of 16 community workshops. Library displays on the theme of sustainable home design will be delivered across six sites and a staff engagement initiative involving 982 employees across three Council areas will deployed. Sustainability in the suburbs will be delivered by Switch your thinking, an award–winning sustainability initiative that has delivered engaging National Science Week programs over the past four years. The series is founded on existing connections with Curtin University, the University of Western Australia, the Housing Industry Association and local businesses, to ensure high quality, cutting edge science content.
