Purpose:
This Composite Materials Engineering Pty Ltd (CME) project will create and validate a new advanced lightweight composite body panel. The composite body panel when completed will offer a variety of built–in options and provide a significant marketing advantage to the vehicle manufacturer, plus a multitude of advantages to the end–consumer/user including a reduction in fuel/energy consumption, due to the weight savings obtained. The project offers CME with strong export market opportunities for the end product, and will position the company as leader in this field of model differentiation.
