Purpose:
Students will be competing in the 2020 Robocup International Competition. They will be competing the Rapidly Manufactured Rescue Robot league. Students are designing, building and programming a rescue robot to compete against teams from all over the world. The robot has to complete 13 international standards so that it cam be certified as a rescue robot by the NIST organisation. The students are also studying Robotics and Mechatronics at school and will hopefully move into tertiary studies in mechatronics. The outcome is to win the competition but to also create a robot that can be used by rescue organisations from all of the world. An example would using them to find survivors in recent devastation of the Bahamas.
