Purpose:
The Bannockburn & District Men's Shed Inc. will purchase a 10kw 3 Phase PV solar system which will generate clean energy and to reduce the Shed's Community reliance on power from the national energy grid. The PV system will cover the majority of the Shed's power requirements to run our woodworking, sheet metal and other programs without the need to purchase more power thus giving us the opportunity to free up those funds for other community activities, teaching and training of our members in safe usage of many types of equipment and social activities as well as reducing the cost to other groups using our facility. We know that a reduction CO2 emissions will be good for the community at large and is environmentally the right thing to do
