4kw PV system for the Rally for Recovery Facility
Purpose:
Rally for Recovery will purchase and install a 4kw solar PV system which will generate sufficient power to cover the majority of the community's power bills. As the Eurobodalla has on average 4 peak sun hours a 5kw system will be sufficient to provide all summer power needs (including soon to be installed fans for summer) and provide about 50% of the winter needs. Installing a 5kw system will provide around 7,300kWh of electricity every year. Our group is located in the Eurobodalla, a pristine environment and members want to run a facility with clean energy. We also see this as a way of promoting renewable energy to our thousands of visitors. The savings in power bills will go to Sydney's children hospital Foundation for cancer research.
