A 13 Kw PV system for Island Care
Purpose:
Island Care will purchase and install a 13 KW Solar PV system on it's Resource Centre building. This system will generate on average 45 KW per day resulting in a total 16,020 kw of green energy enabling the Resource Centre to be almost self sufficient with it's power usage. The system will help with Kangaroo Island's power issues and lower the demand on the current grid. Due to the power bill being significantly reduced or even completely covered, this will allow Island Care to purchase more goods to assist the community and help families in need. Island Care's impact will be further expanded in the local community providing more food, clothing and emergency 24 hour / 7 days a week assistance.
