A 6.48kW PV and Battery System for the Pottsville & District Mens Shed
Purpose:
P&DMS will purchase and install a 6.48kW Solar PV and Battery system which will generate clean electricity and help reduce the community's power bills. It will alleviate the demand on the national electricity grid and this will alleviate our power shortage as the shed is connected to the sports field irrigation system. We can only draw on 30 amps of power at any one time. This will allow the shed to install more equipment, a hot water system and an electric oven so shedders can practice their culinary skills. Installing a solar system would provide around 4,900 kWh of electricity every year, this would save around 2.2 tonnes of CO2 annually and would be a proud achievement for our environmentally conscious shedders.
