A 5.23kW PV system for disability housing
Purpose:
UnitingCare West will purchase and install a 5.23kW solar PV and inverter roof system, which will provide an estimated 9,089kW of clean renewable energy annually. As well as saving around four tonnes of CO2 entering the atmosphere annually. The money saved will be used to implement more green initiatives such as diverting grey water from sinks and the washing machine to the gardens and planting native plants with reduced water needs. Such measures will generate further environmental benefit and savings. The property provides supported accommodation for up to five people with disability for their lifetime. We will consult with them to determine how ongoing savings can also be used to increase their home's amenity and their enjoyment of it.
