A 30kw PV solar system for the new Goolwa Surf Life Saving Club House
Purpose:
Goolwa SLSC is in the final phases of commencing a major infrastructure project - development of a new Surf Life Saving Clubhouse. The new design calls for a 30 kW PV array to be installed on the roof to supplement electrical supply to the Clubhouse. The Clubhouse will be used extensively during the summer when solar benefits are greatest. The PV array aims to supply energy demands of the Surf Club during the busy summer months. In theory, a 30 kW array should generate ~365,000 kWh of electricity a year. This would be a cost saving to our volunteer operated Club and environmental benefit resulting in a reduction of ~44.2 tonnes of CO2 equivalents. Any savings will be applied toward the purchase of essential lifesaving and rescue equipment.
