Purpose:
The Billabong Uniting Church (Uniting Church Canning Vale) will purchase and install a 13.5kWhr Tesla Powerwall 2 Battery storage system for its facility (known as The Billabong Community Centre), which will utilise excess power from our existing self funded solar power system to gain a greater degree of independence from the grid while reducing the organisations operation costs. We see renewable energy and battery storage as an integral part of our future. In this regard we hope to provide exposure to and education about the benefits of new renewable energy ideas to our community.
