Purpose:
The Society will use Solar Communities funding to purchase and install a 9.35kw solar PV system at our retail centre in Hermit Park. The estimated savings from this installation p/a are $3,017 providing a 41% return on investment. These savings will ensure that Society funds are distributed into the community instead of being used for operational expenditure. Installing a 9.35kW system would provide around 12,120kWh of electricity to the site each year. The Society is committed to our environmentally sustainable energy solutions. The project forms part of a broader strategy to reduce the Society's carbon footprint at all of our locations across Queensland.
