A 5kW PV system for Cockatoo Kindergarten
Purpose:
Cockatoo Kindergarten take an active role in caring for the environment and we encourage the children and community to be environmentally responsible. The kindergarten will purchase and install a 5.04kW solar PV system which will generate clean electricity and help reduce our carbon footprint. Installing a 5.04kW system would provide around 6314 kWh of electricity every year, saving around 7 tonnes of CO2 annually. The reduction in power bills will make funds available to improve the kindergarten's resources for the benefit of the children for generations to come. Note: The building owner, Cardinia Shire Council, require a structural engineering assessment to be conducted. Cost of this assessment ($550) is included in project costs below.
