Aspley Scout Hall Renewable Energy
Purpose:
The Aspley Scout Group will purchase and install a 5.5kW solar PV system which will generate clean electricity and reduce demand on the national electricity grid. It will reduce the community's power expenses and show our desire to proactively lead by example by supporting the solution to climate change and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Installing a 5.5kW system would provide around 9,173kWh of electricity every year. This would save around eight and a half tonnes of CO2 annually and be an outstanding achievement for our environmentally conscious community. The significant reduction in power costs will free up funds to go towards helping young people by purchasing camping, canoeing and adventurous activities equipment.
