Grant Activity:
RFDS & LF Aeromedical Base & Patient Transfer Facility - Bundaberg
Purpose:
Never a purpose-built facility, the existing structure of the RFDS Qld and LifeFlight (LF) aircraft hangar at Bundaberg does not meet the current or expected increase in aeromedical service demand of the Bundaberg and Wide Bay region. This construction project will better accommodate patients during transit; improve the working environment for medical staff and pilots; provide easier access to Qld Ambulance Service medics; and facilitate events for the public. The new Bundaberg Aeromedical Base and Patient Transfer Facility will support growing investments in health and hospital care infrastructure, provide equitable access to emergency care, save lives and improve health outcomes for thousands of Queenslanders each year.
