Purpose:
The proposed research program will establish a new medical approach for the prevention and treatment of age-related diseases that share a common metabolic and molecular substrate. The primary objective of this program is to evaluate the clinical, metabolic, and molecular effects of specific nutrition and physical exercise interventions in four thematic clinical outcomes – metabolic-inflammatory diseases, breast cancer, cardiovascular disease, and dementia ? and to establish the interconnection.
