Malbup Rehabilitation Project in the Ludlow Tuart Forest National Park
Purpose:
The project focuses on: Connecting degraded land to existing bushland by improving the diversity and connectivity of native vegetation and reinstating the habitat for threatened fauna species, specifically for the critically endangered Western Ringtail Possum; through extensive on–ground revegetation and weed control management. Connecting the local community with the natural environment by involving the public in community planting and education days, enabling them to take positive environmental and ownership. Connecting with local stakeholders by developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other agencies to increase efficiency, knowledge and skills and to ensure continuity of Tuart Forest conservation efforts.
