The City of Palmerston (The Place for People) has a well aligned understanding for the potential smart city solutions that could be incorporated into a trial program to address our urban challenges and improve our liveability as a municipality. The target outcomes of this program are in line with our Digital Strategy: Safe and Sound Deliver A Safer Community (Public safety and crime reduction, through CCTV, sensors and smart lighting) Connect and Enable – Not Connected Is Not an Option (minimizing resource consumption, improving public services and green spaces); and Interact and Engage and Facilitate Better Outcomes for The Community (Open Data: accountability, transparency and innovation enablement).
