Aquaculture Commercial Feasibility Project in Jervis Bay
Purpose:
The project is a practical feasibility study to establish the viability and growth rates of long line mussel production in Jervis Bay. The project activities include install 210 meters of double line into the three sites in Jervis Bay; seed the line mussel spats; monitor mussel growth, speed and size; and harvest the mussels. Additionally, the project will test newly developed spat transportation procedures provided by NSW Department of Primary Industries.
