The Grant provides resourcing for the operation of a family law pilot. This pilot will involve the Northern Territory Local Court exercising its family law jurisdiction, which is conferred under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth). The pilot will be conducted in the Family Matters Division of the Local Court, which hears matters arising under the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007 (NT). The pilot will operate in Darwin and Katherine.
