Grant Activity:
The Staphylococcus aureus Network Adaptive Platform Trial
Purpose:
There are an estimated 5000 episodes per year of bloodstream infections due to Staphylococcus aureus (golden staph) in Australia and an associated mortality of 20 percent. Despite this, there is little clinical trials evidence to guide best management. The Staphylococcus aureus Network Adaptive Platform trial (SNAP) will be a novel, large scale, international clinical trial that will both establish best practice evidence and optimise care for patients during the conduct of the trial.
