Purpose:
Cummins Area School has won the regional Science and Engineering Challenge. The next stage of the journey is to
compete in the State Finals in Adelaide on the 30th of August. In total, Cummins Area School is sending 32 year 9 and 10
students to compete. The competition is hosted by the University of Newcastle and it is an exciting and engaging
event for all students. They take part in design and build projects and/or problem solving activities where they have
to work collaboratively and efficiently as a group. All aspects of STEM are combined in these activities which are
run by the University and volunteers.
