Purpose:
The 2018 Centenary of Armistice Commemoration Theatrical Performance will be a 70-90 minute special event acknowledging the efforts, sacrifice and achievement of service men and woman from WW1 to the present day. The event will be free, inclusive, respectful and family-friendly and will create an opportunity to reflect on the last 100 years of Australia’s war history. The performance will be a melding of music, song, dance, spoken word and archival footage and will explore the notions of sacrifice and explore how the war time experience formed the basis of Australia’s contemporary national identity.
