Purpose:
Almost half of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases patients (COPD) are not smokers, but they still get the disease. It is likely that exposure to air pollution (bushfires or traffic) early in life can predispose people to develop COPD. This study will investigate the impact of maternal exposure to pollution in offspring and how it affects the later development of COPD.
