Purpose:
Manningham Council's Smart Technologies – Reinventing Neighbourhoods project will use a range of integrated, wireless and real time sensor technology to provide meaningful data insights. The smart data collected will provide a better understanding of the social, environmental and economic impacts on liveability of Doncaster East. Data sources will include pedestrian and vehicular movement, car park utilisation, daily activity peaks, environmental trends and stakeholder surveys. Open source data will be provided to third–party app developers to create bespoke customer–centric, needs driven applications. Project learnings will be shared with local, state and federal governments, project partners and private sector organisations.
