DFAT funds will be used for the implementation of UNDP-APF Partnership on NHRI Action Plans and Exchanges in relation to LGBT and Intersex in the Asia Pacific under regional program "Being LGBTI in Asia", Phase 2, in the Pacific.
Purpose:
To strengthen capacity of NHRIs in Asia and the Pacific relating to the human rights of LGBTI people. The objectives are: to support NHRI national programming on LGBTI human rights, including through cooperation with LGBTI communities; and, to strengthen technical knowledge and exchanges of NHRIs in relation to LGBTI data collection and research.
