Purpose:
The purpose of the grant is to fund Australia’s contribution to the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP). It contributes to the achievement of the Department of Home Affairs Program 1.5 Regional Cooperation.
The objective of the grant is to support the ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ReCAAP ISC) in implementing ReCAAP’s mission to enhance regional cooperation in combating piracy and armed robbery against ships. The role of the ReCAAP ISC is to facilitate information sharing, capacity building and cooperative arrangements with membership states.
