Purpose:
Cottage By The Sea provides short-term care for at-risk children. The project will ensure compliance with Australian Standards in building safety, fire and equal access. It will include: Building redevelopment work. Major structural work for installation of a lift; rebuild of second storey deck. Equal access amenities including ramps, stairs, toilets, parking, paths, doors and signage, accessible bedrooms and bathrooms; ambulatory bathrooms. Fire hydrant alterations, smoke and thermal detectors, fire sprinkler pipe replacement, extra fire extinguishers. Rendering/concrete repairs, internal and external painting, window replacement and maintenance, replacement of guttering. Compliance will benefit all facility users.
