Grant Activity:
Elucidating the biomarker sequence of the natural history of progression of Alzheimer's disease
Purpose:
Navigation is easier and more meaningful with a map to base decisions on. Similarly, for disease, knowing what happens and in what order leads to better staging of patients and, thus, choice of treatment. Currently there is no accurate 'map' of Alzheimer's disease. This grant will use data from two of the largest global databases on Alzheimer's to determine which disease markers change, how fast and in which order. This information will be used to construct a quantitative map of disease.
