Maranoa Regional Council SCADA Implementation for Water, Sewerage, Gas
Purpose:
Council will install supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) () across the region in the water, sewerage and gas services. Base equipment will be installed in Roma (regional centre), with sub stations in the other towns. Equipment at each plant site will be upgraded to allow control of the site and collection and transmission of data, providing an early warning system when deviations or failures occur. Data collection will allow real time access and remove the risk of human error. This innovative equipment has not been used in our region, and will automate activities that are labour intensive and inefficient and provide an improved level of service to the community.
