Project
Grant Activity:
Understanding the assembly of the Commander complex.
Purpose:

Controlling the synthesis, recycling and degradation of receptors in the cell is absolutely essential for normal cellular function, regulating processes as diverse as the metabolism and synaptic communication. This project we will determine how Commander, a protein machine that controls retrieval, export and recycling of receptors is assembled as a large multi subunit assembly. This will provide insights into how Commander regulates complex pathways of cellular homeostasis in health and disease.
