Grant Activity:
Complex epistasis between JNK and PI3K pathway mutations in breast cancer.
Purpose:
Patients with luminal B breast cancer do not benefit from hormonal therapy, and will typically require treatment with chemotherapy. However, the majority of these patients will not respond to this treatment, although there are no reliable predictive markers of response. Here we will characterise the function and prognostic significance of a number of common breast cancer mutations in order to develop such a patient specific predictive marker.
