Grant Activity:
Improving global outcomes in diabetes and chronic kidney disease
Purpose:

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the most common chronic conditions, with 11-13 percent of the world’s population affected. The most common risk factors for CKD are diabetes and high blood pressure, both of which are becoming more common globally. Because CKD is independently associated with cardiovascular disease, progression to end-stage kidney disease, and death, improving CKD treatment is a priority.
