Grant Activity:
Investigating binge drinking and neurodevelopment in young Australians
Purpose:

Over 40 percent of young people report regular binge drinking, this is concerning because the brain continues to develop until the mid-20s. This research will seek to understand how brain differences index cognitive functioning, to disentangle the cognitive and neural effects that are evident prior to, and following, binge drinking during youth, and determine whether the effects continue after treatment. The results of this project will increase early identification of youth at risk of binge drinking.
