Optimising quality of life, and participation in physical and sporting activity in young adults with hip pain.
Purpose:
Hip pain is common in young adults. It is an important risk factor for the development of hip arthritis and hip replacement surgery in later life. People with hip pain have worse quality of life, physical activity levels and sporting participation compared to healthy people. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment in improving these factors in people with hip pain. This will have a large positive individual and societal impact in this young patient group.
