Grant Activity:
Investigating the role of the immunity in HER2-positive breast ductal carcinoma in situ and invasive ductal carcinoma and response to HER2 targeted treatment
Purpose:

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in females in Australia and its incidence continues to increase. There is emerging evidence that immune cells play an important role in fighting particular subtypes of breast cancer (HER2-positive and triple negative). Currently, there is no immunotherapy available in the treatment of breast cancer. We aim to investigate the role of the immune microenvironment in the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer.
